Mrs. Merl Durbin died October 16, 2003 at the Garden's Nursing Home, Sapulpa, OK. Merl was born in Purdy, MO on April 4, 1909 to James Arthur & Sarah Jane Roberts. She led a full life and was preceded in death by 2 spouses, James Everett Stamper (1942) and David Eugene Durbin (1979). Also preceding her in death was a twin sister, Pearl Trantham; sister, Marie Coffey; and brother, Telford Roberts. In the 50's and 60's she worked as a cook for the downtown YMCA and at Pan American Oil Co. She retired as a Cafeteria Cook with Clinton Jr. High School. In her younger years, she loved to dance at the VFW and Cains Ballroom. (Edited for content)
