Funeral for Luther Berry Roberts, 90, of Danville will today December 9, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Danville Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Bailey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts, who died Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at Summerford Nursing Home, was born April 4, 1920, in Morgan County to George Berry Roberts and Martha Nettie Wallace Roberts. He served in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Wolverine Tube where he worked in maintenance and a member of Danville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jewel Roberts; his daughter, Sheila Segars (Jerry); five grandchildren, Robin Steenson (Greg), Tracey Gillies (Neil), Mandy Bowling (Jason), Patrick Segars (Angela) and Allison Copeland (Tyler); five great-grandchildren, Noah Brechtel, Mary Kathryn Stanford, Chandler Steenson, Correy Gillies and Rylie Gillies.
Pallbearers will be family.
