CHARLESTON, Ky. -- Edith Mae Love, 73, of Charleston, died at 3:07 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, at her residence.

Born Jan. 3, 1926, in Christian County, Ky, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Robards and Vera Ellen Howton Robards.

She was a registered nurse who worked at the (old) Hopkins County Hospital's coronary care unit and also worked at the Dawson Springs Health Care Center for 10 years before retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Dunn Missionary Baptist Church in Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

She is survived by her husband, J.C. Love of Charleston; three daughters, Toni Hancock of Marion, Ky., and Judith Gunn and Debbie Farris, both of Charleston; two sisters, Dorothy Miller of Ohio, and Villa Townsend of Florida; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, Ky., with the Rev. Wayne Lamb and the Rev. Oval Merrill officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs.

Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
