Abner Roahrig, 83, of 705 Cambridge Road, a retired farmer and a native of Muskingum County died at 8 am, today at Coshocton Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He had been confined to the hospital for the past three days. He was born 27 July 1868, in Adams Township, Muskingum County, Ohio, a son of Frederick and Elizabeth Lapp Roahrig, and was married to Eliza Strohacker, who survives. Mr Roahrig was the last survivor of 10 children, six brothers and three sisters preceding him in death. he was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church, near Adamsville. Besides the widow, the survivors are one daughter, Mrs Joseph Powelson, Fresno Route 2; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm, Sunday at the Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev Robert Binkley, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends will be received at the residence on Cambridge Road, from 7 pm Saturday until noon Sunday.
