Blanche Marie Riney, age 96, of age of Taylor, MO passed away Wed. evening March 12, 2008 at her home.
Blanche was born June 6, 1911 at Winchester, MO a daughter of Richard O. and Sarah E. Stout Reid. Blanche was married to Robert E. Riney at St. Patrick, MO June 6, 1935. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Riney was a homemaker and had worked as a seamstress, Dietary Dept. at Levering Hospital in Hannibal, MO and Palmyra Elementary School Cafeteria; Palmyra, MO. Mrs. Riney was of the Christian faith.

She is survived by three daughters, Marie Disselhorst and her husband Maurice of Palmyra, MO, Norma Richmond and her husband Bill of St. Patrick, MO, Nancy Higgins of Palmyra, MO, and daughter in law Irene Riney of Taylor, MO; seven grandsons Steve & Marsha Riney of Palmyra, David & Joyce Disselhorst of Alpine, TX, Douglas Disselhorst of Iowa Park, TX, Shawn & Laura Richmond of Fairfield, IA, Heath & Kathy Richmond of Ursa, IL, Jason Richmond of Mexico, MO, and Jack & Erika Higgins of Palmyra; six granddaughters Gaye & Dean Redd of Taylor, Sally & Jim Gottman, Pam Hoenes and Diane Augspurg all of Palmyra, Sheri & Pat Kennedy of Iowa Park, TX, and Alyce & Monty McAfee of Kahoka, MO; 29 great grandchildren, Josh & Seth Redd, Jay & Jeff Gottman, Heather Kite, Michael & Matthew Hoenes, Kaley, Bethaney, Zach, & Austin Riney, Kaley & Kasey Augspurg, Sarah Self, Patric & Nick Kennedy, Patrick Disselhorst, Jennifer & Jessica Disselhorst, Paige & Harley Higgins, Keagan, Brianna, & Bowen Richmond, Kelson & Kourtney Richmond, Kody, Kaylee & Layne McAfee, six great great grandchildren, Isabelle & Emma Redd, Miles & Sadi Kite, Ryann Self, Nate Kennedy; Sisters in law Helen Grandstaff of Sierra Vista, AZ and Burdetta Scullion and her husband J. Donald of Dunnellon, FL; four nieces and five nephews. She is preceded in death by her Parents, husband, one son Richard E. (Gene) Riney, grandson Daniel Disselhorst, two brothers Donald J. and Frisby Reid, one sister Leota Hoewing, Brother in law Tom Riney, sister in law Louise Riney Silcott, one grandson in infancy, one great granddaughter Jolleen Disselhorst, two nieces, and two nephews.

Funeral services will be Sat. March 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton, MO with Rev. James Wheeler officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery at St. Patrick, MO. Visitation will be held Friday March 14, 2008 from 5:00 until 8:00 P:M at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton.

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Patrick Cemetery or Day Cemetery Fund.


Music will be provided by: Jason Richmond, Vocalist and Pat Galle, Organist. "In The Garden" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere"


Pallbearers will be: Steve Riney, David & Doug Disselhorst, Shawn & Heath Richmond, Jack Higgins and Jason Richmond.
