Theresa Agnes Brennan, daughter of Phelix Riney and Nancy Durbin Riney, was born near St. Patrick in Clark county, Missouri, on October 25, 1846, and during her girlhood and the greater part of her married life lived in that neighborhood. She was baptized into the membership of St. Patrick Catholic church in her infancy and retained her membership in that church during her entire life. She was married to Edward Brennan in 1866. To this union three children were born, Anna, the eldest died at the age of four years, while the others, Florence May and Mary Ida, survive. In February 1901, the family sold the home farm near St. Patrick and removed to Canton, where in June of the same year, the father died. The mother and two daughters continued to make their home there and on Thursday, February 25, 1932, the mother passed away. Funeral services with Requiem High Mass were held at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Father Gannon officiating, with interment in St. Patrick cemetery, Saturday, February 27, 1932.
