Margaret married at the tender age of 17 and had a son a year later. She divorced and remarried some years later to Joseph Guy Lucien Bedard and together they had two more children - both girls. She later divorced.
For most of her adult life, she partnered with a friend and had a fine dining french restaurant in the heart of downtown Decatur, Georgia. The restaurant was popular and guests included Jimmy and Billy Carter as well as local judges, attorneys, congressmen, and educators.
Margaret was always full of life. She was quick-witted and enjoyed making people smile. She was strong. She was loved and will be forever missed.
She is survived by her children, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Near the mausoleum on the corner there is a weeping cherry tree and a bronze dedication to Margaret. Facing the tree from the sidewalk, walk 4 rows to the left to Margaret's grave. (flat marker)
