Orangeburg - Hazel Riley Briggman, 84, a retired public health nurse with Orangeburg County Health Department, died Sunday in a Hartsville nursing home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Orangeburg Lutheran Church. Burial, directed by Ott Funeral Home, will be in Sunny Side Cemetery. Mrs. Briggman was born in Ridge- ville, a daughter Frank E. Riley and Rosalee Riley. She was a member of the American Legion, the Dixie Club, the Orangeburg Historical Society, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She was an active member of Orangeburg Lutheran Church and was the widow of T. Edward Briggman. Surviving are two daughters, Ann Pachuta of Cary, N.C., and Dorothy Croxton of Hartsville; four brothers, Norman Riley of Harleyville, Thomas Riley of Walterboro, Frank Riley of Holly Hill and Ralph Riley of North Charleston; a sister, Carol Farmer of Conyers, Ga.; and four grandchildren. © The Post and Courier, Charleston, SC, 2 Dec 1996
