SEA ISLAND -- Mrs. Marjorie Helvenston Riley died Oct. 16

She was born in Lake City, Fla., and lived on Sea Island since 1981. She was the widow of Senator John R. Riley of Savannah and Joseph Samuel Espy of Savannah. She was a communicant of Christ Episcopal Church of Savannah and Christ Church Frederica.

Survivors: a daughter, Mrs. Espy Tillman of Cashiers, N.C., Susan Riley Myers of Savannah, Eleanor Riley of Putney, Vt., and Mary Anne Riley of Bozeman Mont.; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Samuel Espy Jr. and Kathy Espy of Savannah and William W. and Lee Espy of Atlanta; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Church Frederica, St. Simons Island.

GRAVESIDE SERVE: 3 p.m. Monday in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah.
