LOIS (RIGSBY) COFFMAN

Lois Rigsby Coffman, of Sweetwater, Texas, died Friday, October 13, 2000 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., today, October 15, 2000 at First United Methodist Church, under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery, with Dr. Mark Alexander and the Rev. Malcolm Brown officiating.

Lois Coffman married James Alfred Coffman, August 15, 1958 in Sweetwater. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a lifetime resident of Sweetwater. She owned and operated Rigsby Transfer and Storage for many years. She worked for Norred Motor Company before retiring.

She was a member of the Mamie D. Crane #1018 Order of the Eastern Star where she received a 50 year pin. She also served as Secretary and Worthy Matron during this time. She was a charter member of B.P.O.DOES where she served as the first president. She was an active member of the Social Order of Beauceants until it disbanded.

She was a member of Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she served more than 3500 hours of faithful service. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a faithful friend.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Robert Pieper of Sweetwater, Texas; one granddaughter, Paige Pieper of Abilene, Texas; and two cousins, including Gladys Turner of Sweetwater, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alfred Coffman, and one brother, Clifford McKee.
