DANVILLE - Annie Rigney Adkins, 73, of 1535 Old Hunting Trail, died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 1, 1933, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Georgia Rigney and the late Dillard Rigney.
She was employed by Health-Tex, where she retired Aug. 1, 1998. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church on Mt. Cross Road.
She was married to David Dean Adkins.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Campbell, of Dry Fork; one sister, Sarah Estelle May, also of Dry Fork; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Tony Michael Rigney; four sisters, Thelma Snider, Gladys Lawrence, Ruby Jones, and Eunice Rigney; and five brothers, William Rigney, James Rigney, Leonard Rigney, Ernest Rigney, and Robert Rigney.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Aug. 14 at Bethel Baptist Church with. Interment will be in the Adkins Family Cemetery in Callands. Norris Funeral Services Inc. and Crematory, Danville is serving the Adkins family.
