Mrs. Effie Hanson, 90, lifelong resident of the Seminary neighborhood died early this morning at the Richland Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hanson was born on Dec. 6, 1878 just across the county line, in Edwards county, daughter of the late William and Cora Blood Ridgely. Her husband Howard preceded her in death in 1911. She was associated with the Marion Christian church.
Mrs. Hanson is survived by two sons, Kell Hanson and Wallace Hanson, both of Rural Route 1, Olney , and a foster-brother, Arch Ridgely, also of Rt. 1 Olney. There are also three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren surviving.
She was preceded in death by one son Ellis.
Funeral services will be held Thursday in the Chapel of the Schaub Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Marion Christian Church Cemetery.
