RIDGAWAY: Henry Bascom Ridgaway was the appointed preacher for Winchester (1851-52) and Loudoun (1852-54). Born Sep. 7, 1830, in Talbot Co., Md., he attended Dickinson College (1849). Born Sep. 1830, he was admitted to Baltimore Methodist Episcopal Church (MEC) on trial in 1851, ordained a Deacon in full connection in 1853, and ordained an Elder in 1855. He preached under MEC appointment 44 years (1851-95) and died Mar. 3, 1895, while serving as Professor for Garrett Biblical Seminary. His other appointments were Summerfield, North Baltimore Circuit, and North Baltimore Station in Baltimore MEC (1851-57); East Baltimore MEC (1857-60); Maine MEC (1860-62); New York MEC (1862-77); Cincinnati MEC (1876-88); and Rock River MEC (1888-95). He is buried at Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago, Ill.
