Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at Lindale Cemetery. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery. There will be no visitation. Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born August 29, 1923, in Carrier Mills to Cecil E. and Muriel (Reeder) Rice. On Nov. 16, 1940, she married George R. Dardeen, who survives.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, James Dardeen of Benton; a daughter, Becky (Jim) Schmook of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Mike Schmook, Kelly Dardeen, and Karen Ninis; four great-grandchildren, Cody and Jarod Schmook and Jacob and Adam Ninis; a brother, Joe Rice of Carrier Mills; and a sister, Donna O'Neal of Harrisburg.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Rice; and two brothers and one sister in infancy.
