Campbell F. Rice - Services for Campbell F Rice, retired hospital administrator, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Evergreen Mausoleum chapel. The Rev. Warren Hile will officiate, assisted by members of BPOE Lodge 309. Entombment will follow with Evergreen Funeral Home handling arrangements. Mr. Rice, 107 W. Cheyenne Road, died in a local hospital Sunday.

He was born Nov. 16, 1899, in Ralls County, Mo., and came here 66 years ago. He was graduated from Colorado Springs (Palmer) High School and attended Colorado College During World War II, he served in the Army Signal Corps. He was associated with Emory John Brady Hospital from 1929 until his retirement in 1972, becoming administrator of the hospital in 1943. He was a past exalted ruler of BPOE Lodge 309, a past state resident of the Colorado Elks - Association, and a past Grand Lodge committeeman for the Elks organization. Mr. Rice - also served on the advisory board of the Salvation Army, was past president of his Lions Club, belonged to the American Legion Post 5, and was a member of the Dad Bruce Chapter of the Foot - printers Association. He was a life member of Sigma Chi fraternity.

His wife, Harriet Brady Rice, died in May. Mr. Rice is survived by a daughter, Jane Broome of Colorado Springs; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and a cousin, Ethel Laird of Colorado Springs.
