Charles Max Rhead passed away on March 17, 2016. He was 96 years old.

Max was born on May 19, 1919 in Plain City, Utah, the third child of William Elmo Rhead and Hazel Margaret Skeen.

He spent his youth in Plain City, Utah and on farms in Idaho. He later spent time ranching in Summit County Utah.

Max served an LDS mission in the Northern States Mission and then enlisted in the US Marines. He was a proud veteran of WWII and spent 18 months on the USS Washington.

He met his bride, LaWana Pack, on a blind date and they were married just a few weeks shy of 70 years. They were best friends and adored each other. Max served in various church callings, and also was a temple worker and a Stake Patriarch.

He is survived by his wife and children; Diana Bingham, Linda Staley (Jerry), Rhonda Johnson (Craig), Richard Rhead (Trina), and Annette Simpson; 19 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Theron, Ray, and Harold; a sister Isabelle; a daughter Gwen, and 2 granddaughters, Heidi and Andrea.

Interment, Plain City Cemetery.
