Shirley Maxine (Reynolds) Byram, age 71, of Lexington, SC and formerly of Petersburg, WV passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg.

She was born July 18, 1943 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of the late William Franklin Reynolds and Rada Alice (Riggleman) Reynolds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Byram on July 11, 2010; one daughter, Lisa Christina Reedy and one brother, Clifton Dale Reynolds.

Shirley graduated from Petersburg High School and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Dallas, TX.

Shirley is survived by two sons, Tracy (Tonya) Smith of Onego, WV and Mark (Cynthia) Smith of Texas; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; three sisters, Loretta Allen of Lexington, SC, Donna (Gary) Vance of Petersburg, WV, Penny (Troy) Ours of Petersburg, WV; four brothers, William (Betty) Reynolds of Texas, Ronnie Reynolds of Moorefield, WV, Roy (Judy) Reynolds of Petersburg, WV and Larry (Barbara) Reynolds of Petersburg, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Sunday (May 31, 2015) from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.

Inurnment will be private in South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens, Petersburg, WV at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Grant County Nursing Home, 127 Early Avenue, Petersburg, WV 26847.
