She was united in marriage to Jay Loy Billings September 15, 1919 at Winner, South Dakota. To this union three children were born.
Most of her life was spent in the Norden-Springview area on a ranch until retiring to Springview in 1970. She and her husband spent several winters in Yuma, Arizona. She enjoyed an active life until the last nine months which were spent in the nursing home.
She leaves to mourn her children: Mr. and Mrs. Virgil E. Billings of Springview, Mr. and Mrs. John K. (Verna E.) Foster of Hay Springs, Nebraska, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale E. Billings of Ainsworth; four grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Andy (Louise Billings) Keogh, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn (Connie Foster) Garner, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad (Donna Foster) Bostron, and Mike Billings; six great grandchildren; a host of friends and other relatives including two sisters, Della McCoy of Valentine and Mae Horton of Chadron.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, four sisters, two grandsons, and one great granddaughter.
She was active in the Norden Social Club and Senior Citizens of Springview as long as her health permitted.
She was a kind and loving mother and grandmother, a good neighbor and a firm believer in God.
