Mary "Polly" Reynolds was born 1810-1811 to Perry Green Magness Reynolds and Nancy Singleton. She was probably named for her grandmother, Mary White Singleton, wife of John. Mary "Polly" married Hugh Caldwell 12 Oct. 1833 Lincoln County.
Mary was living with her son Commodore on the farm on the 1880 census. She was age 69. Mary is probably buried alongside of Hugh.
More family information on Hugh Caldwell's memorial.
The picture of Polly was provided by Betty Jo Ehn. It is from a tin type found in the possession of America T. Roark Hoar, Grandmother of Betty Jo, her line of decent being:

Mrs. Polly Caldwell was stricken with paralysis last Wednesday morning. She is now in a critical condition, and being much advanced in years, it is thought that medical aid will be of little avail.
