Carl E. Reynolds, native of Pownal, and a 22 year employee of the BenMont Paper Corp. died Tuesday at the age of 72 at his 212 School St. home in Bennington.
Mr. Reynolds, who later worked for nine years at Putnam Memorial Hospital, and retired because of ill health, was born Nov 24, 1903 to Edward and Cora (Abrams) Reynolds.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bennington.
Besides his widow, the former Josephine Clark, whom he married in Bennington July 24, 1934 he leaves a son, Claude E. of Bennington; three grandchildren; a brother, John of Clearmont, Fla. and a sister, Dorothy Scurlock of Quartsite, Ariz.; cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Campbell, pastor of the First United Methodist Church.
Calling hours at the funeral home have been scheduled for this afternoon from 2 to 4 and this evening from 7 to 9.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bennington Rescue Squad.
Entombment will be in Park Lawn Cemetery vault, Bennington, pending burial in that cemetery in the spring.
