She was preceded in death by her parents, the Honorable Horace A. Revercomb Jr., and Mrs. Mary Virginia Revercomb of King George, Virginia; and her sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Revercomb Wilson of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her brothers, James A. Revercomb, of Ashland, Virginia, and the retired Honorable Horace A. Revercomb III; her husband, John H. Early of Charlottesville; their daughter, Mara Rhodenizer, and her husband, Trey, of Charlottesville, Virginia; and three grandsons, Carter, Peyton and Harris. She also leaves behind dear and devoted friend and caretaker, Judy Willis of Charlottesville, Virginia.
She was a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Nursing, and was employed as a registered nurse at the University of Virginia Medical Center for 17 years. She was also a member of Saint Paul's Ivy Episcopal Church, both of which she took great pride in. She was a tenacious, loving spirit who was devoted to her family, friends and career. Her endearing laugh and gentle nature will be sorely missed.
A memorial service was held Sunday, August 29, 2010, at Saint Paul's Ivy Episcopal Church in Ivy, Virginia. It was officiated by Rector Miller Hunter and a brief reception at the church followed, including a private interment at the churchyard.
The family requests that donations be made in her honor to the American Heart Association or Hospice of the Piedmont.
