Elda M. Fink, 95, died Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Greenleaf Senior Housing in Sioux Falls, SD.

Elda Mae Fink, the daughter of Hardy and Pearl (Ross) Reu was born October 5, 1913 in Ladonia, MO. She was raised by her much adored grandmother, Belle Ross. Elda attended high school in Worthing, SD.

On June 28, 1930, Elda was united in marriage to Clayton Fink in Madison, SD. Elda worked in the Loof Store in Harrisburg and later for Lewis Drug in Sioux Falls. She was then employed at the Harrisburg School as a teacher's aide and kitchen help. Elda wintered in Texas for over 20 years, where she helped tutor students there. Clayton died March 13, 1991.

In 1994, Elda was united in marriage with Lester Anderson in Harrisburg, SD. Elda moved to Sioux Falls in 2000. Lester died in 2002.

Elda was a member of Harrisburg United Methodist Church, was a past president of the Women's Society, and a 4-H Club Leader for 27 years. She was also a former Matron of Eastern Star. Elda was a great conversationalist and story teller. She enjoyed painting and card playing, but most of all, she enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared her life are two daughters, Pearl (Roland) White of Emmetsburg, IA, Mary (Steve) Tebben of Whitewood, SD; a son, Dan (Judy) Fink of Harrisburg, SD; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and another on the way; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Hieress) Reu of Ft. Madison, IA; her family of beloved caretakers and residents of Greenleaf Senior Housing; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton; a daughter, Betty Linstrom; a son, Robert Fink; and her special friend and cousin, Elsie Pike.
