Jeanette Reu Dickson, 89, Leavenworth, Kan., passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014. Jeanette was born March 26, 1925 in Leavenworth, Kan., the daughter of Leonard J. and Emma Grace (Lamborn) Reu. She married Clarence A. Dickson, Jr. on April 10, 1948 in Leavenworth, Kan.
She is survived by her sister, Bonnie Hobbs, Leavenworth, Kan., son Douglas J. Dickson, Leavenworth, Kan., and daughter, Stacey McVey and husband Mark, Overland Park, Kan., four grandchildren Douglas A. Dickson, David W. Dickson, Emily J. McVey and Molly P. McVey and one great grandchild Elijah A. Dickson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Clarence A. Dickson Jr. and her sister Marjory J. Crist. Jeanette was member of the First United Methodist Church and the Henry Leavenworth Antique Auto club. She was a former member of the Kaw Valley Quilters Guild and Leavenworth Garden club.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Monday, July 14, 2014 at the Davis Funeral Chapel, followed by a grave-side service and burial at Mount Muncie Cemetery.
