Neva Kemerley
Neva Maxine Kemerley, age 86, of Arlington died at 2:36 PM Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Blanchard Valley Hospital Emergency Room. She was born on Sept. 24, 1922 in Madison Twp., Hancock Co. to the late George L. and Anna Elizabeth (Borset) Rettig. She married Everett A. Kemerley on Aug. 9, 1942 and he preceded her in death on March 7, 1988. She is survived by three sons, Jan A. (Linda) of Wrightstown, NJ; Donald L. (Pat) of West Elkton, OH and Ronald L. (Christine) of Arlington; daughter, Joyce E. (Thomas) Bosse of Loveland, CO; nine grandchildren, Greg (Kristina) Bosse; Gordon (Carolyn) Bosse; Gara (John) Gerstenberger; Brian (Ilene) Kemerley; Bradd (Marianne) Kemerley; Christopher Kemerley; Melissa Kemerley; Jason Kemerley and James (Jessica) Kemerley; eight great-grandchildren; Allyssa and Scott Bosse; Cheyenne and Collin Bosse; Oriana Gerstenberger; Jakob and Braden Kemerley and Jamie Lynn Kemerley; and two sisters, Clara Jacobs and Minnie Lanning, both of Findlay. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Noah and Stanley Rettig; and nine sisters, Edna Rettig; Katherine Rettig; Amanda Hook; Margaret Reigle; Hulda Alge; Fairy Dick; Eva Smith; Mabel Bunnell and Emma Apple. Neva was a 1940 graduate of Mt. Blanchard High School and earned her bachelor's degree from Findlay College in 1964. Mrs. Kemerley went on to teach elementary school at both Hardin- Northern and Arlington schools. She was a resident of the Arlington Good Samaritan Center for almost five years and was a long-time member of Good Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Good Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Steven Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery, Madison Twp. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington and for one hour prior to the service (10-11:00 AM) Wednesday at the church.
