Amelia Balzer
Amelia, a resident of Worden for 70 years, passed away at Eagle Cliff Manor, Oct. 5, 2006, after a prolonged illness.
She was born Dec. 23, 1910, in Kautz, Russia, daughter of George Reiter "Schutka" and Katherine Reiter :Katrinlis."
Amelia married John Balzer on Dec. 28, 1928, in Worden.
The two worked side by side together on a farm west of Worden.
They had four children: three boys and one girl.
Preceding Amelia in death were her parents, her siblings, her husband John and her daughter Barbara.
Surviving Amelia are her boys, Marvin (Patricia), Ronald (Violet), both of Worden, and Clifford (La Rae) of Casper, WY.; also 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at the Bethlehem Congregational Church in Worden.
Burial will follow in the Pleasantview Cemetery in Ballantine, MT.
The casket will be open at the church only, one hour prior to the service.
Smith's Downtown Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
