Bertha "Bea" Francis Barth, 107 Evergreen Lane, Upper Sandusky, died at 3:35 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2011, in her residence. She was 88.
She was born on June 1, 1913, in Seneca County, to Clarence and Amelia (Mertel) Reinhard. On April 10, 1948, in St. John's United Church of Christ in Fostoria, she married Harry Barth. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1987.
Mrs. Barth was employed as a beautician and was a clerk at several retail stores in Fostoria and Upper Sandusky. She was a member of the Little Sandusky Bible Church in Little Sandusky for more than 40 years. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, afghans, cooking, raising violets, collecting lamps, gardening vegetables and flowers, playing the piano and reading the Bible.
Mrs. Barth is survived by two sons, Jesse and Howard, both of Upper Sandusky; six grandhildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Reinhard, Fostoria; and three sisters, Martha Phillips, Fostoria; Joyce Knight, Fremont; and Roma Sauber, Tiffin. Preceding her in death were a son, Fredrick; brothers, Charles, Eugene and LaVern Reinhard; and sisters; Ruth Barth and Mary Shiley.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Bringman-Clark & Co. Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. The Rev. Sonja Bender and Robert Couch will officiate. Burial will be at Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky, Visitation at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Little Sandusky Bible Chruch or Hospice of Wyandot County.
