Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the Union Mortuary for Mrs. Mary Katherine Reeves Hatch who died Sunday at 10:40 p.m. after a long illness. Conducting the services was Norman Faldmo of the Ninth ward bishopric.

Prelude music was furnished by Fern Sessions and the invocation was given by Leon Winters, a nephew of Mrs. Hatch. Evelyn Parry and Ila Reid played a violin duet, "Maria" accompanied by Mrs. Sessions and they were followed by Bishop Lloyd Riley who spoke. Following a vocal solo, "In the Garden" by Reed Bennett, accompanied by Mrs. Sessions, Mr. Faldmo spoke. The concluding number was a violin duet "The End of a Perfect Day" by Mrs. Reid and Mrs. Parry. Benediction was offered by another nephew Collier Allen. John Campbell dedicated the grave.

Pallbearers were: Vern Hatch, Don Brown, Jack Hatch, Kendall Hatch, Roland Tingey, and Glen Christensen.

The Ninth ward Relief Society was in charge of the flowers with Mr. and Mrs. Orin Cook in charge of extra flower cars.

Mrs. Hatch was born Oct. 27, 1906 in Salt Lake City to William D. and Annie Barker Reeves. On May 17, 1930, she married Melvin Hatch. The family has lived in Bountiful for 16 years and their home is located on 390 East Center street.

Survivors include her husband, two sons, M. LaMar and Del Ray, and a daughter Carman, all of Bountiful; her mother of Salt Lake City, and three sisters, Mrs. S. H. (Annie) Phillips and Margaret Reeves of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Jesse (Phoebe) Leavitt of Provo.

Burial was in the Bountiful cemetery.
