Dorothea Reeves Jones, of Elizabethtown, died July 15, 2011.

She was born in Philadelphia on March 14, 1920, the daughter of the late John Burton and Blanche Snyder Reeves. Dorothea was predeceased by her husband, Paul Revere Jones, in 1997.

Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Nanticoke High School and attended Mansfield State University as a music education major.

She was an accomplished pianist and taught studio piano privately for many years in suburban Philadelphia and Maryland.

Dorothea enjoyed gardening and spending time at the New Jersey seashore. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Gettysburg.

She is survived by two children, Sara Hough O'Grady and husband James in Harrington Park, NJ and John (Buzz) Jones and wife Gail in Gettysburg; three grandchildren, Kristin Evans, Sarah Jones, and Trevor Jones; three great-grandchildren; a sister Bette Hollman in Tucson, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by a brother, John B. Reeves Jr. and a grandson, James Andrew O'Grady.

A memorial service will be scheduled at the convenience of the family at Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville.
