Blanche Reeves Craven, 91, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, at Mangum City Hospital. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Mangum with the Rev. Jimmy Pitson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home.
Mrs Craven was born Sept. 7, 1908, in Bourbon, Mo., to Thomas Andy and Mary Ellen Burgess Reeves. She married William Alvin Craven on Jan. 5, 1925. He preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 1963. She was a homemaker and cooked and managed the Hotel Franklin Cafe along side her husband. She was a longtime resident of Mangum and a member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and an infant son as well as three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include: her children, Betty and husband R.L. Patton of Mangum, Robert and wife June Craven of Carpenterville, Ill. and James Craven of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Mary Ellen Haywood of Florida, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
