Family and friends mourn the passing of Betty Jo Cates, born August 31, 1932 as Betty Jo Reese. Betty was the daughter of Joe and Ruth Mayberry Reese of Oklahoma. She passed away on October 23, 2011 in Woodland, CA.
Betty is survived by two brothers [redacted for privacy]. She was loving mother to [redacted; 1 son and 3 daughters]. Loving Grandmother of many. Remembered for the selfless way she gave of herself to anyone who needed her, she held our hands, wiped our tears, warmed our hearts and calmed our fears. She will be remembered by many, missed and loved by all.
A Viewing will be held on Nov 1 from 6-9pm at Berryessa Community Church 3355 Sierra Road, San Jose. A Graveside service will be held at 1pm on Nov 2 at Mission City Memorial Park 420 N Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in her memory would be most appreciated.
