Born Nov. 30, 1925, in Hampstead, she was the daughter of the late Edmund Franklin and Edith Grace Beam Reed. She was the wife of Wilford E. Barnes.
She was a secretary at the Carroll County Board of Education. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Lebanon Chapter 108.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughter and son-in-law Cheryl Barnes and Bruce DeVilbiss of Finksburg; sister Zelda Wilhelm of Millers; and granddaughters Ashley N. and Jaime M. DeVilbiss, both of Finksburg.
She was predeceased by son Brian E. Barnes.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead with the Rev. Stanley Harrell officiating. Interment will be in Wesley Cemetery, Hampstead.
