Barbara Gail Bell, 81, of Washington, died Saturday, January 2, 2010, in Washington Hospital.
She was born January 1, 1929, in Zanesville, Ohio, a daughter of Earcle and Mildred McCormick Reed.
Mrs. Bell was a member of First Christian Church of Washington.
She was a graduate of Claysville High School and a homemaker.
On April 6, 1947, in Claysville, she married John M. Bell Sr., who died April 30, 2001.
Surviving are a son, John M. (Terry) Bell Jr. of Washington; six grandchildren, Eric, Patrick (Sara J.), Brian (Dana), Christopher (Toni), Sara K. and Andrew Bell; and three great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Kaitlyn and Jack Bell.
Deceased are two brothers, Pip and Jack Reed.
Friends are invited to attend a committal service to be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, in Washington Cemetery Community Mausoleum Chapel, 495 Park Avenue, Washington. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Washington County Chapter of the Special Olympics, 169 Boone Avenue, Strabane, PA 15363.
