A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow for Avelia St. Pierre Rebstock, 87, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, who died April 13, 1996. Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. She was the mother of Roger J. Rebstock and Virginia R. Loupe; sister of Edmond St. Pierre. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bussie J. Rebstock; parents, Etienne and Mary Williams St. Pierre; a sister, Justilie S. Eymard; nine brothers, Rosemond, Raymond, Valcour, Valmont, Esmire, Sevelin, Andrew, Justelien and Maxellien St. Pierre; and a great-grandson. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor.
