Fred Rawley, lifelong resident of the Brewster area, died Sunday, September 12.
Rawley was born March 21, 1907, on Paradise Hill, and attended schools on the hill and in Brewster.
He married Rachel Gardner July 2, 1937, at Tacoma. They made their home in Brewster. He was employed at the Gamble Lumber Company, and was a local businessman. He bought his first orchard in 1943, and continued as an orchardist until his retirement in 1971.
Rawley is survived by his wife, Rachel, at the home; two sons, Rubin, Sumner and Fred, Kirkland; three brothers, Wallace and Frank, both in Brewster and John, Tonasket; two sisters, Pearl Brown and Leone Beaudoin, Brewster; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at the Barnes Chapel in Brewster on Wednesday, September 15, at 2:00 pm Rev. Ray Glessner officiated. Arrangements by Barnes Chapel.
