"In Loving Memory Of: Helen C. Gross, 99, of Berks Heim, formerly of Denver, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the home.

Born in Berks County on February 13, 1908, age 99 years, 4 months and 6 days, she was a daughter of the late John and Bertha (Eshelman) Ravel. Helen's husband, Harvey H. Gross, entered into rest May 7, 1988.

She was empoyed by Farr's Nursery, Womelsdorf, for more than 50 years, and also worked at the Exit 21 Tourist Center, Denver. She was a member of Saint John's Reformed Church, Sinking Spring, and was a former member of Saint John's United Church of Christ, Denver. She was a very active in her churches as a Sunday School teacher and member of the choir. She was a graduate of Sinking Spring High School, 1925, and the McCann's School of Business, Reading. A charter member of the Denver Woman's Club, Helen volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Denver, and was very active in the Walking Club of the Ephrata Community Hospital. An avid pinochle and scrabble player, she loved to garden and be outside, and was very involved with her friends and her community.

Helen is survived by a daughter, K. Vicki, wife of George S. Sproesser, Leesport; sisters, Sara M., wife of Clarence Griffith, Wernersville, and Mildred L., wife of Robert Germann, Reading; and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 11:00 AM with a Viewing from 9-11 AM in Saint John's Reformed Church, 4001 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, PA 19608, with Reverend William Miller officiating. Interment will take place in Pleasant View Cemetery, Fritztown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Helen's memory may be made to her church."
