RATTO BERNARD ANTHONY entered into eternal life on June 19, 2001 in Alameda at the age of 80. He has gone to join his father and mother, Bartolomeo and Katherine Ratto, his sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Dante Crivello. Bernard is the adored uncle of Donna Kay Thomason and her husband William of Hemet, CA. Many cousins and friends also survive him. Native and life long resident of Alameda. US Army veteran of W.W.II. Member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and former member of the Ligure Club. He retired from the city works Dept. of the City of Alameda after 30 years of service. After his retirement he enjoyed his home, his garden and frequent trips to visit his niece. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy Friday, June 22, 2001 at 9:30 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Van Buren St. and High St., Alameda. Vigil Services Thursday evening 5 PM at the Greer Family Mortuary, 2694 Blanding Ave., Alameda. Visitation Thursday, 2 PM - 7 PM at the mortuary chapel. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward.
