Former Peabody Teacher Dies at Wichita Hospital
Mrs. Mary A. Bachman, 59. of 1448 Coolidge, died Sunday morning at St. Francis Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Bachman was born Feb. 18, 1898, in Peabody, Kan., where she received her early education, and later taught in the schools there. She was a member of P.E.O., and receptionist at First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include four sons, G. Craig, Centralia, Kan., Donald L.. Lincoln, Neb., John E., 1901 N. Sheridan, and C. Bill, 2476 Perry; a sister, Mrs. Floyd Miles, Pasadena, Calif.; two brothers, Charles Rathbone, 115 N. Clarence, and Arthur Rathbone, Kansas City, Mo., and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Dr. Paul C. Johnston, pastor, will officiate, with burial in the Wichita Park Cemetery. Cochran Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
