Avery was a faithful and active member of the Rising Sun Church in Van Alstyne, where she remained until God called her home.

She passed away peacefully at home with family on November 18, 2011, from this life to eternal life with the Lord.

She leaves behind to celebrate her life sons, Samuel Gipson ( fianceť, Treeta Mcghee) of Dallas, S.T.
