Nadine A. Breen, 81, of Billings, passed away at her home on July 29, 2013, after a lengthy illness.

Nadine was born in Butte on June 19, 1932, the middle child of Howard and Ann (O'Neil) Rashleigh. Nadine attended school in Butte, graduating from Butte High in 1950.

On July 8, 1967, Nadine was married to Michael Breen in Butte. Nadine's career with the railroad started with Northern Pacific, where she was a billing clerk. She continued with the railroad for 15 years until moving to Columbus in 1987. In Columbus, she worked at the Clerk and Recorder's office of Stillwater County, until retirement in 1994.

Nadine enjoyed golf, knitting and reading. She pursued her hobbies until progressive aphasia make it difficult to enjoy the things she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister and brother.


Nadine is survived by her husband, Michael Breen, of Billings; children Jerry (Tammy) Jacobson of Vaughn, Wash., Cynthia (Terry) Faulkner of Butte and Michael Breen of Alaska; four grandchildren; sister-in-law, Michelle Rashleigh; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as Michael's siblings, Marilyn Breen, Ronnie (Bob) Mullin, Frank (Margaret) Breen and James (Helen) Breen.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at St. Bernard's Parish.


Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Billings, MT.


The casket will be open at church for visitation one hour prior to the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Nadine's name to Rocky Mountain Hospice. Michelotti-Sawyers is assisting with arrangements.
