On the evening of Monday, October 10, 2016, Mary Rape was reunited with her beloved husband, Malcolm "Mackie" Rape in heaven. She was 85 years old.
Mary was born in Sparta, Georgia to the late Grady and Florence Johnson Epps and was of the Baptist faith. For over 30 years, she was a much-loved food line server at S & S Cafeteria where she was affectionately known as "Pie Lady." Mrs. Rape loved to be outside where she enjoyed her flowers and gardening, especially roses and gardenias. When she wasn't working in her garden, you could find her sitting on her back porch feeding wild birds. Mary had a true and deep love for her family and the special bonds and memories she made with each of them will forever live in their hearts.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was also preceded in death by her son, Edwin "Randy" Rape; and brother, Gordon Epps.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 13th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14th in Magnolia Park Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Mobley Cross will officiate.
