MR. J. R. RAMSAY, SR.
Mr. J. R. Ramsay, Sr., age73 years, a well known Confederate veteran, died at 12:50 o'clock this afternoon at his home, ??14 Hamilton avenue. Mr. Ramsay served in the war between the states in the First Georgia Reserves,, Company C. He was a member of the First Baptist church. He is survived by his wife; five sons, A. C. and A. S. Ramsay, of Troy, Ala., R. P. Ramsay of Millstead, Ala., Dr. J. W. Ramsay, of Durand, Ga., and J. Robert Ramsay of this city and by one daughter, Mrs. J. T. Pearson, of Atlanta. The funeral will be conducted from the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. L. A. Henderson conducting the service. The pallbearers will be the five sons of the deceased, and Mr. M. E. Simpson. The interment will be in Riverdale cemetery.
