Jackson Ramey, 67, of 1115 Reservoir St., custodian of McClernand school, died at 2:15 a.m., Dec. 11, 1950, in Memorial hospital where he became a patient Dec. 10. He had been in failing health several weeks.
Mr. Ramey was born in Springfield and resided in the city all of his life.
He was a member of the Third Presbyterian church and the Building Service local union.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie; three sons, Wilbert, of Springfield; Russell, of Peoria; and Arthur, of Honolulu, Hawaii; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Gorda of Chicago; and Mrs. Arthur Southard, Springfield; one brother, Ernest, Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Hodgson and Mrs. Thomas Gibbs, both of Springfield; five grandchildren.
Services were at Vancil funeral home.
Burial was in Roselawn cemetery.
