The family will receive friends at the church following the ceremony and at other times at the residence. Deanna was born in Washington, DC in 1953 and grew up in Greensboro. She earned her optician's license and served her apprenticeship at the Taylor Eye Clinic. For the last 25 years, she owned and operated The Optical Gallery in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

She is survived by her son, Jason Arthur of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and was the daughter of David and Vera Rabin of Greensboro. She will always be remembered by all who knew and loved her for her vivacious personality and her deep spirituality. She was a lifelong student of alternative and natural health, and the generosity of her knowledge benefited many around her. Consistent with her love of children and helping others, memorial contributions may be made to Clara House, 315 E. Washington St., Greensboro, NC. Arrangements were made through Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel.
