Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 1997, at St. John
Ev. Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Officiating will be Rev. Victor Headrick with
burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born March 25, 1892, in the town of Newton, daughter of the late Ernest and
Anna Wehausen Carstens, She married Louis W. Rodewald on October 24, 21914, in
Newtonburg. He preceded her in death in 1968. She was a member of St. John Ev.
Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one son, Clarence H. Rodewald, Manitowoc; three daughters and two
sons-in-law, Mildred and Edmund Johansen, Manitowoc, Loretta and Elroy Schwalbe,
Kiel, Delores Krancus, Milwaukee; 11 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; seven
great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her parents and
her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, two grandsons
and one special daughter-in-law, Caroline.
Friends may call at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Newtonburg from 9 a.m. Thursday
until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Memorials may be made to St. John Ev. Lutheran Chruch or Manitowoc Lutheran High
School.
