Miss Marie Rayfield, 65, died this afternoon at the home, 1701
Washington street. She had been in ill health for some weeks.

MISS BAYFIELD (sic) DIES AT HOME
Funeral Will Be Held Friday In The Afternoon
Miss Marie Rayfield, 63, for ten years buyer for the ready-to-wear
department of the Henry Esch Sons co., died Tuesday night at her home
1701 Washington street. She had been in failing health for more than
a year.
The body will lie in state at the Vogelsang Funeral Home until the
hour of the funeral. Services will be conducted at Vogelsang's Friday
at 2 p.m. by the Rev. L.H. Koeninger of the First German Evangelical
Lutheran church and burial will be in Evergreen.
Miss Rayfield was born in Newton Dec. 31, 1870, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Rayfield. She spent eight years in Milwaukee before taking
a position with the Esch company here.
The survivors are seven brothers, John, Charles, Hugo, Fred and George
of Chicago, William of Detroit and Herbert, with whom she made her home
here; and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Eller, Milwaukee, Mrs. Henry Esch Sr.,
Manitowoc, and Mrs. William Vandergrift, Greenville, Mich.
