Eva attended Illinois Wesleyan University, She was a house mother at fraternities and sonorities at IWU and on campuses at Madison WI's. Norman Okla. and Tucson Ariz. She also served at YMCA in Peoria and Evanston. She entered the Presbyterian Home in 1969.
Her funeral was held Tuesday at the Elliot Chapel at the Presbyterian Home with the Rev. Gary Skinner officiating. Burial will be in the Park Lawn Cemetery, Danvers.
Eva was born July 3, 1892 in Mackinaw, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Puterbaugh She was married Lester Barrett Ewins on Feb. 16, 1915 in Danvers, He died May 14, 1919.
Surviving is a granddaughter. A daughter Elizabeth Ann Ewins Mirbaha proceeds her in death.
Eva was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Evanston and member of the Kappa Kappa Sorority.
