Rodney Gene Purser, age 20 of OKC, died Friday, June 13. He was born May 28, 1966 in OKC. He was an active member and attended all his life the Crestwood Baptist Church in OKC. Rodney was a Junior at O.B.U. in Shawnee, OK majoring in Journalism and an active member of the Lambda Chi Lambda Social Club and active in intramural sports. He was a staff member of the O.B.U newspaper and sports writer for the Shawnee News-Star. He worked summers & part-time for the M.D. Heck Corp. of OKC.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Harold Purser of OKC; a brother Randal Gene Purser of OKC; paternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Purser of Madill, OK; maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Gaines Blevins of Madill, OK; many uncles, aunts & cousins and a host of friends.

Services will be 10 am Tuesday at the Crestwood Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation, 4111 S. Darlington, Tulsa, OK. Arrangements by Smith & Kernke.

Rodney, I love you more than any brother could love a brother and I pray that you will be with me all my life and can't wait to see you in Heaven. Love, Randy.
