Connie Pullen Allen

Mrs. Connie Pullen Allen, 85, of Kilmichael, died of heart failure, February 5, 2000 at St. Francis Nursing Home in Memphis. Tenn.

She was a partner in Allen's Dry Goods and a member of Kilmichael United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were February 7 at Kilmichael United Methodist Church. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery in Kilmichael.

Mrs. Alien is survived by her husband, Homer Eugene Allen of Kilmichael; one daughter, Jean Allen Black of Germantown, Tenn.; one son, Larry Douglas Allen of Clinton; four sisters, Corinne Rose of Duck Hill, Louise Jolly of Columbus, Elaine Nichols of Memphis, Tenn., Estelle Mills of Washington State; one brother, Wayne B. Pullen of Yuma, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Thomas Donahoo, Rodney Mortimer, Billy Hodges, Robert Allen Pyron, Douglas Black and Eric Hensley.

I loved to go to their store. We went to get shoes and material. I always ended up getting one more pair of shoes than the twins because I was hard on shoes. The second pair would be the one you don't wear out.The pretty shoes just didn't hold up for me. ...(Read more)
