Anne Schofield Prosser, 90, of 607 Virginia Avenue., died Saturday, Nov. 7, at King's Daughters' Hospital.

She was born on Aug. 19, 1908, in Madison, the daughter of William and Charlotte Stanley Schofield. She was a retired school teacher in the Madison school system and a member of the Christ Episcopal Church.

She was also a member of Tri Kappa sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, of Indiana University, the Madison Country Club, the Jefferson County Historical Society and Historic Madison.

Surviving are one son, Dr. Robert Carpenter, of West Lafayette, one step-son William Prosser; two step-daughters, Anne Prosser Turner and Jean Prosser Yeager and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Orville O. Carpenter; her second husband, William B. Prosser, and one sister, Charlotte Schofield Minor.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Jefferson County Historical Society, Historic Madison, Inc. or the Madison-Jefferson County Public Library.
