Clarice Erline Burleson passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 14, 2007, with her daughter at her bedside. Her family is in peace knowing she is in Heaven and sick no more.
She was a childcare giver for 40 years. Clarice was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and affectionately called "Mammo" by everyone she knew.
She was a devoted lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She never met a stranger, always good-hearted and kind. Her passion was sewing, and she loved to sew for anyone at no charge.
Her family wanted the staff and residents of Montreat Apartments to know how much they appreciated all the kind deeds shown to Clarice.
Her family held a private service for her at Elkins Funeral Home on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.
